“看板管理”是一种把“看板”作为“取货指令”、“运输指令”、“生产指令”,用以控制生产和微调计划,达到生产组织上最佳经济效益的管理方法。它的主要特点是要求生产准时化,把工序间库存储备及过量制造而造成的无效劳动和浪费尽量消除,实行后工序向前工序取货,前工序只生产后工序所要取走的品种、数量,严格控制产品的生产和储存。
