In the treatment of free surface water flow in hydraulic projects, often involving the calculation of critical depth. The calculation involves two very important water flow scenarios, namely supercritical and subcritical. The main engineering application of critical depth is the control and measurement of water flow. The critical depth can also be used for the characteristic length of the backwater curve. The most direct way to calculate the critical depth of a trapezoidal channel is to use an algebraic solution to tedious trial calculations. This article presents a meter
