OBJECTIVE: To analyze the correlation between suicidal behavior and changes of functional connectivity of brain default mode network (DMN) in young women with depression at rest. Methods: A total of 23 young female depression patients (SD group) with attempted suicide and 10 young female depression patients (NSD group) without attempted suicide were recruited by independent component analysis (ICA) 31 healthy controls (HC group) were treated with resting state functional magnetic resonance (MR) data, and DMN was extracted to find functional connectivity difference brain regions among 3 groups. The differences between brain regions and demography data and clinical scale scores Relevance. Results: Compared with HC group, the functional connectivity of SD group was enhanced in left middle temporal gyrus (-56, -65,15) and left middle occipital gyrus (-45, -70,18). In NSD group, (P <0.05). Compared with the NSD group, the left lingual gyrus (-12, -55,3) and the left lingual gyrus Left anterior wedge (-7, -61,15) increased functional connectivity, bilateral posterior cingulate back functional connectivity weakened (P all <0.05). Correlation analysis showed that left temporal gyrus time series in NSD group were negatively correlated with scale of suicidal ideation (r = -0.643; P = 0.045). CONCLUSIONS: Defective young female patients with suicide attempt have an abnormal DMN function connection, and their suicide behaviors may be related to the changes of the activity of the anterior wedge and the posterior cingulum.
