联合国开发计划署9月8日在北京发布的《2005年人类发展报告》指出,2005年中国人类发展指数排名列第85位,比1990年排名上升了20位。报告同时指出,中国的社会发展已经落后于经济发展,因此中国目前面临的挑战就是将其令人瞩目的收入增长转化为非收入方面的人类发展的可持续增长。
According to the 2005 Human Development Report released by the United Nations Development Program in Beijing on September 8, China Human Development Index ranked 85th in 2005, an increase of 20 places over 1990 rankings. The report also pointed out that China’s social development lags behind its economic development, so China now faces the challenge of transforming its impressive income growth into a sustainable growth of human development in non-income areas.
