In this study, 51 Chinese college students participating in the exchange programs of Chinese-foreign cooperative education were selected as subjects. The questionnaires and interviews were used to explore the changing rules of the anxiety levels of foreign language (second language) learners before and after leaving the country and the causes of anxiety. The study found that Chinese college students experienced a significant upward trend in language learning anxiety after they went abroad because they were worried about falling homework and had a strong “anxiety of discourse.” Their language proficiency significantly affected the level of anxiety, but the level of anxiety among different genders There was no significant difference. During their study experience, their different daily exchange times with native English speakers could significantly affect the ups and downs of learning anxiety.
