甘露醇通过渗透压机制使颅内压降低,但是静滴甘露醇溶液也稀释血液,降低血粘滞度使脑血流增快,随着心脏充盈压和心排血量的增加,还通过自调机制使脑血管收缩(而不完全是由于渗透性脱水),从而缩小脑体积。甘露醇这方面的血流动力学影响,特别是脑血管收缩,目前已可用多普勒超声仪进行观察。为此作者选择10例1~14岁需开颅手术的儿童(除外颅内高压和脑出血者)进行研究。
