The Flex-PLI is a high-fidelity leg impact device that has been adopted by the world’s uniform technical regulations and plans to replace the original TRL leg impact device after the transitional period. Based on finite element analysis (FEA), the impact response of the Flex-PLI and TRL legs was compared by changing vehicle parameters.
