On my desk stood a sixteen open thick, very beautifully designed hardcover book “the most of Sanxiang.” This book is written by the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee for the History of the CPC, published by Hunan Publishing House. To my friend, to see this “the best of Sanxiang,” have to read through, must be tutted, saying that this is a good book. I also read once, twice, three times ... Each time you read, there are always some benefits. In May 1938, when I was introduced to Yan’an by the Shanghai underground party, I passed through Hunan. From the view of both rural and urban areas on both sides of the railway, they are old-fashioned. At that time, I did not stay in Changsha. I did not meet Mr. Liu Liangmo at the YMCA and went straight to Wuhan. On August 6, 1949, I went south to Changsha, Hunan. At that time, Changsha was only the capital city with a population of about 300,000. There was still no sight of economic prosperity. The life of the masses was still very hard. It was far from being as industrial and mining enterprises as Tangshan in Hebei Province. In contrast, it felt that the development of production, invigorating the economy and raising the living standards of the people were the top priorities of Comrade Nan Comrades at the time.
