At present, it is considered that matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) is closely related to the instability of atherosclerotic plaque (AS) and the occurrence of acute coronary syndrome. There are relatively few reports on MMP research in traditional Chinese medicine. Recent studies have found that Naoxintong drugs can alleviate the symptoms of coronary heart disease and angina, and protect endothelial cells and anti-AS effects. To investigate the effect of Naoxintong on MMP-3, we established a rabbit using a high fat diet.
