20年前,我第一次读沈从文小说《边城》,深为他笔下湘西边城乡风民俗的粗犷、淳厚,为摆渡女翠翠与傩送爱情的挚着与悲凉所感染。对小说背景——边城茶峒充满了向往:古老的渡口、河滩,在苍翠群山下,那条清澈见底的西水河,那一半在水一半在岸的吊脚楼,坍圮的白塔,竹缆系的渡船……今年八月一天,我辗转1000多里来到曾在我梦中的边城。它距湘西苗族、土家族自治州首府吉首90公里,是花垣县的一个古镇。沿着酉水有一条差不多3华里的长街,古老的吊脚楼与新建小洋楼极不和谐杂然相依。只有一条小街,青石板路与木板铺面的店铺还保留着昔日的风貌。1982年由凌子风执导的电影《边城》便选
