IBM 将 Linux 作为宗旨性的策略已是早有体现,不仅投资10亿美元全面拥抱Linux,而且更因一则广告创意而路人皆知。IBM 公司Linux 销售与市场营销副总裁 Steven C Salazzo 先生更是将 Linux 与 Internet 相提并论,Salazzo 先生认为 Linux将会向 Internet 一样被人们认可和接受,他认为今明两年将是 Linux 在企业飞速发展的时期,Linux 将很快进入到企业应用中。Salazzo 先生谈到 IBM目前在 Linux 方面主要有四个工作重点:一是基础设施方面,将在 IBM 的 eServer、DB2、Websphere 等所有平台
IBM’s commitment to Linux as a tactic has long been reflected. Not only has it invested $1 billion to fully embrace Linux, but it is also known for its advertising creativity. Steven C Salazzo, IBM’s vice president of Linux sales and marketing, puts Linux and the Internet alike. Mr. Salazzo believes that Linux will be accepted and accepted as well as the Internet. He thinks that this year and next year will be the period of rapid development of Linux. Linux will soon enter into enterprise applications. Mr. Salazzo mentioned that IBM currently has four main work priorities for Linux: First, the infrastructure will be on IBM’s eServer, DB2, Websphere and all other platforms.
