铝的导热性高,熔点低,氧化性强。焊接铝及其合金时,不但要有效地去除高熔点的氧化膜,而且要求有较大功率的焊接设备。采用气焊或氩弧焊,往往受功率或设备不易制造的限制,给大厚度铝板及铝合金铸件的焊接带来了困难。在生产实践中,我们用碳弧焊焊接了大厚度铝板和铸件,获得了理想的接头。这种方法的特点是设备简单、成本低、生产率高。碳弧焊的电源,一般使用AB—500型直流焊机,或两台直流焊机串联使用。
