West Germany is one of the most industrialized countries in the world. According to recent surveys, the damage caused by air pollution has reached an unimaginable level, and the damage to forests is far more serious than any other cause. 58% of the cedars in North Rhine-Westphalia are under threat of death, 3,000 hectares of forest in Hesse is heavily polluted and 55,000 hectares of forest in and around Bavaria are on the brink of destruction edge. The 100-year-old cedar forest in the area near Munich died after two weeks of infectious disease. There are also 64,000 hectares of fir forest in Baden-Württemberg infected with the disease. What is worrying is that the air pollution caused to the forest forest disaster may spread to the northern region. Once this situation appears, it accounts for nearly one-third of the forest in West Germany (290 billion plants)
