30年前,礼平的中篇小说《晚霞消失的时候》出版,引起轰动,并引发了一场热烈的讨论。最近香港牛津大学出版社出版了北岛等人编的《暴风雨的回忆:1965-1970的北京四中》,其中多篇回忆提到当年四中学生刘辉宣(即礼平)的这篇小说,还收录了他本人的文章。这使我再次把《晚霞消失的时候》找出来细细品读,我深感,虽然时间已经过去了30年,但小说提出的问题,争论反映的问题,至今还没有解决,而且与今日充满矛盾的社会密切相关。
