Introduction Artemia nauplii are common to most marine fish and shrimp larvae. Because such eggs enclosed in oocysts can be stored and hatched as needed, it is convenient for aquaculture operators to use. But its nutritional value has been questioned. Watanabae et al. (1978a) reported that artemets in some areas have very low levels of essential fatty acids and are considered nutritionally less valuable for marine larvae. Many marine fish juveniles die after eating Artemia nauplii for some time (Fujita, 1973). In addition, the price of Artemia increased, therefore, to explore alternative food organisms for marine fish cultivation is a very important issue.
