[Beard J D, et al. Ultras Med biol 1986; 12 (11): 883 (English)] The authors developed a Doppler flowmeter. It is made with a 10MHz beam pin and average frequency estimator that overcomes many of the limitations of current electromagnetic and ultrasonic flowmeters. The output of this flowmeter is proportional to the first term of the Doppler power spectrum and the average blood flow velocity, and the linear range of the pulsatile flow output is 1.3-50 cm / s.
