This report is submitted with a supporting companion article to a multidisciplinary committee of 14 experts. . In the United States, health care services are affected by several important forces, and the Committee believes that professional liability issues in turn affect obstetric care, especially those rural women and high-risk pregnant women who live in poor conditions.
