世界卫生组织、联合国开发计划署、联合国儿童基金会和世界银行邀请十五个国家卫生部长、卫生总监以及三位计划部长,在我国掖县举行初级卫生保健区间讨论会,我们感到十分高兴。我代表中华人民共和国卫生部,向远道来参加这次会议的代表们表示热烈的欢迎。我国的卫生事业是我国社会主义建设的重要组成部分,目的是为了促进各族人民的身心健康,提高全国人民的健康水平。我国百分之八十以上人口居住在农村,因此,我们始终把搞好农村卫生工作做为工作的重点。建国三十二年来,我们着重抓了以下四个方面的工作。
The World Health Organization, the United Nations Development Program, the United Nations Children’s Fund and the World Bank invited fifteen national health ministers, health directors and three planning ministers to hold a seminar on primary health care in our country’s Ji County. We are very happy. On behalf of the Ministry of Health of the People’s Republic of China, I would like to extend my warm welcome to the delegates who have come to attend this conference from afar. China’s health undertaking is an important component of China’s socialist construction. Its purpose is to promote the physical and mental health of people of all ethnic groups and improve the health of the people throughout the country. More than 80 percent of China’s population lives in rural areas. Therefore, we have always focused our efforts on improving rural health. In the 32 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, we have focused on the following four areas of work.
