韶2机车于1969年造成出厂。当时装用西安整流器厂生产的6台硅整流机组。采用200A、600V螺栓式整流元件。每台硅机组是一个整流桥;每个桥臂元件4串6并,全台车共计576只元件。在宝凤线运行了一万多公里,情况良好。随着我国电子工业的迅速发展,很快就为电力牵引提供了大电流、高电压的可控硅整流元件。因此,韶2机车于1970年底返厂改造。取消调压开关,改整流桥为半控桥,实行整流输出的无级调压。
