家庭档案不仅是家庭生产与生活的有力助手,而且还是宝贵的社会财富。马列主义经典作家的日记、书稿、手稿等档案,是全世界人民珍贵的财富。加拿大国家档案馆馆长阿瑟·道蒂爵士曾说过:“在所有的国家财产中,档案是最为珍贵的,他们是一代人留给另一代人的礼物,是我们对他们的爱护程度标志着我们的文明程度”。随着人们生活水平的日益提高,社会活动的频繁增加,会产生很多反映家庭历史变迁的档案材料,因此,建立家庭档案有极其重要的意义和作用。
