随着大学英语教学目标从提高学生语言知识到培养学生用目标语进行交际的能力的转变,大学英语四级考试,这一作为衡量完成大学英语基础阶段学习的大学生是否达到教学大纲要求的大规模标准性测试,必将随之发生改革。为准确衡量学生交际能力并对课堂教学产生积极影响,新四级测试应比传统四级测试具备更多交际法测试的特点。本文通过对交际法测试特点的讨论,以及结合新旧四级考试的对比分析,对新四级测试是否具备交际测试重要特点及能否更好地测试学生交际能力进行了探讨。
With the change of university English teaching objectives from improving students’ language knowledge to cultivating students’ ability to communicate with target language, the College English Test Band 4 is a large-scale examination of whether college students who have completed the basic stage of college English learning have achieved the syllabus requirements. Standard tests will surely follow the reform. In order to accurately measure the students’ communicative competence and have a positive impact on classroom teaching, the new quartile test should have more communicative test features than the traditional quartile test. This article discusses whether the new four-level test has the important characteristics of the communication test and whether it can better test the student’s communicative competence through the discussion of the characteristics of the communicative test and the comparison analysis between the new and the old four tests.
