课本插图不同于教学插图,学生人手一册,使用起来,十分方便。一幅好的插图,可以充实课本有关内容的文字叙述,加强教材的说服力,有益于学生对知识的理解。面对繁多的课本插图,教师在教学中应注意归类、分清主次,并逐步培养学生通过各种“图”综合分析地理事物的能力。世界地理下册第六章概述中的四幅主要插图,我在教学中是这样运用的:
The textbook illustrations are different from the teaching illustrations. The students have a manual and they are very convenient to use. A good illustration can enrich the textual description of the content of the textbook, strengthen the persuasiveness of the textbook, and benefit the students’ understanding of the knowledge. Faced with a large number of textbook illustrations, teachers should pay attention to classifying and distinguishing primary and secondary in teaching, and gradually develop students’ ability to comprehensively analyze geographical things through various “graphs”. The four main illustrations in the outline of Chapter 6 of the World Geography Booklet are used in teaching as follows:
