一年一度的《财富》论坛大会在中国上海于去年九月底落幕。多少年来,中国企业界一直把进军世界500强视为一个“图腾”。人们惊羡于500强所取得的辉煌业绩的同时,也一直在思考这样一个问题:中国企业与500强的真正差距在哪里?从表面上看,中国企业与500强的差距在规模上。1998年,中国的大庆油田实现销售收入70亿美元,而世界500强的最后一名是90亿美元。实际上,它们的真正差距在于企业的核心竞争力(Core-Competence),它是企业竞争优势
The annual Fortune Forum Conference ended in Shanghai, China, at the end of September last year. For many years, the Chinese business community has always regarded the entry into the top 500 as a “totem”. People were astonished at the glorious achievements of the Fortune 500, and have been thinking about such a question: Where are the real gaps between Chinese companies and the top 500? On the surface, the gap between Chinese companies and the top 500 is on a scale. In 1998, China’s Daqing Oilfield achieved sales revenue of US$7 billion, and the last one of the Fortune 500 was US$9 billion. In fact, their real difference lies in the core competitiveness of the company, which is the competitive advantage of the company.
