Forest water management efficiency refers to the ability of the forest to regulate the runoff in the river so that it is in an even condition and is one of the benefits of forest protection. In hydrology, the degree of variability of river runoff is usually expressed as a coefficient of river runoff variability. The river runoff coefficient of variation is large, indicating that the runoff of the river has a large degree of variation. On the contrary, it indicates that the runoff of the river is relatively stable. Forest cover rate is an important indicator of forest coverage on the ground. Therefore, the relationship between the coefficient of variation of runoff and the forest cover rate was tested, and the mathematical model was established to explore the water management efficiency of the forest.
