基于丰富的科学史料,作者提出了西欧科学传播的三阶段模型:第一阶段是非科学社会或国家为西欧科学提供了发展的资源,即西欧殖民者在异国他乡借助于当地居住者收集植物、动物、矿物标本,让本国科学家评估、利用而受益。第二阶段是“殖民地科学”时期,指一种依附科学,即由殖民地科学家在非西欧国家主导和主持科学研究。第三阶段完成移植过程,达到一个相对独立地从事“西方科学”研究的现实,即由非西欧科学家主持、主导本国的“西欧科学”研究。 Based on a wealth of scientific history, the author proposes a three-phase model of scientific communication in Western Europe: the first phase is the development of science in Western Europe by non-scientific societies or countries, where Western European colonists collect plants and animals from natives in foreign lands, , Mineral specimens, so that their scientists assess the use and benefit. The second stage is the “colonial science” period, referring to a dependent science, which is dominated by scientific research by colonial scientists in non-Western European countries. The third phase of the transplant process, to achieve a relatively independent “western science” research reality, hosted by non-Western European scientists, leading the country’s “Western science” research.
