There is a significant difference between Chinese classical tragedy and Western classical tragedy, especially on the tragedy ending. The tragedy in China gives the feeling of sadness in the process of conflict, but most have a “successful” ending. However, the tragedies of the West tend to come to a close with tragic ending, which gives the reader a strong sense of trait and loftiness. The difference between Chinese and Western classical tragedies is a cultural phenomenon with its profound cultural origins. This article analyzes the influence of different cultural systems on the tragedies of the East and the West, especially the outcomes from the factors of geography, culture, social politics and other factors.
