To date, no instrument has been made that is as good as the sound of a Stradivarius violin. However, modern acoustics techniques have been able to ultimately simulate the sound of a Stradivarius violin with an electronic violin. A Stradivarius violin is expensive, while the cost of an electronic violin is within reach. This state-of-the-art instrument looks a bit like an ordinary violin: it has four strings, a neck, and a bow. However, an ordinary violin has a hollow body that resonates, amplifies and attenuates certain harmonic frequencies.
