鋁土礦中一般含有的元素為:Mn、Cu、V、Ni、Cr、Ca、S、P、Fe、Ti、Ta、Nb及Ga等。在這些伴生組份中,絕大部份都是有害雜質,如S、P、Fe、Ca等;部份組份如Ti、Ni、Cr等究属有害雜質抑有益組份是隨冶鍊方法及生產技術水平而決定的,但Ga、Ta及Nb则為有益組份。因此,在勘探鋁土礦的工作中,不但要對主要元素(Al_2O_3)的賦存情況、礦物組成、結構、厚度与品位變化規律以及規模等作詳細的研究,同時還必須通過一定數量的採樣和化驗分析工作,對伴生組份進行綜合利用的研究。解放以後我們已經進行了幾個鋁土礦區的勘探工作,有的已提交了總結报告;為国家工業建設提供了
