“Our focus is to help businesses grow adaptability, increase efficiency, reduce delays and costs for service customers and increase their competitiveness by enabling On Demand e-commerce to add value to their business.” Turning to OnDemand eCommerce, IBM Software Steve Mills, senior vice president and group executive director of the group, said that Mills led IBM Software Group, established in 1995, to become one of the world’s largest software vendors. IBM’s software business has grown by more than $ 2 billion over the past five years under Mills. Mills, the CEO of IBM Software Group (reporting directly to Sam Palmisano, IBM’s chief executive officer), willingly hides behind the scenes as his focus is on customers rather than their own. From January 27 to January 28, Mills led the heads of IBM’s four major brands to Shanghai to explain the 2003 strategy and direction of the IBM Software Group to the Asia Pacific media.
