This article describes the development of a new generation of optical sensors that meet the satellite attitude measurement requirements. These sensors include: A new two-axis full static infrared earth sensor (now certified). It is used to measure the pitch and roll attitude of a three-axis stabilized satellite relative to the horizon; a new multi-purpose, fully automatic, low cost star tracker. This star tracker (now certified) provides three-axis attitude and satellite angular velocity information for attitude control subsystems; a new type of sun sensor used to measure satellite pitch and roll attitude angles. Its quality is very light, the price is very cheap.
