专门用途英语(English for Specific Purposes,ESP)教学是近年来高校英语教育界的一大热点话题。然而,目前我国高校ESP教学仍处于发展起步阶段,ESP教材建设就是其中一大薄弱环节。本文着重分析了目前国内高校ESP教材建设存在的主要问题,针对这些问题,ESP教材编写者应把以学习为中心的ESP教学理念作为理论依据,以需求分析和教材评价为前提,在教材编写过程中着重考虑真实性、多样性、启发性等因素,把教材编写作为一个长期持续的评估过程,根据使用者的反馈信息,对其不断完善和充实。
The teaching of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) is a hot topic in English education in colleges and universities in recent years. However, at present, the ESP teaching in China’s universities is still at the initial stage of development. The construction of ESP textbooks is one of the weakest links. This article focuses on the analysis of the major problems existing in the current ESP textbooks for colleges and universities in China. To address these issues, ESP textbook writers should use the ESP teaching philosophy centered on learning as a theoretical basis, and demand analysis and textbook evaluation as the premise, during the preparation of teaching materials. Focusing on factors such as authenticity, diversity, and inspiration, the preparation of teaching materials is a long-term and continuous evaluation process. Based on the user’s feedback information, it is continuously improved and enriched.
