The exhibition titled “Early ” intercepts a certain period of artistic style and phenomenon to be revisited. By the age of 30, Zhao Gang, Wang Yin, Zhang Enli, Zhou Tiehai and Wang Xingwei are divided into artistic practices before their establishment For their early stages, as a historical prelude to discussing their present practice of creation. The works on Early Stage were all produced between 1989 and 1999 for a total of 24 pieces, plus a small draft of Wang Xingwei’s paintings, while the five artists were born between 1961 and 1969.
