当台湾食品业在祖国大陆投资不断升级、市场愈做愈充实的时候,台湾经济却史无前例地持续着其颓势:台湾经济首次出现负增长,第2季度经济增长率为-2.35％,比能源危机的1975年还要低,预期第3季度增长将进一步减少为-2.45％,全年经济增长率为-0.37％,是自1957年以来,首次出现的负增长。而且岛内股市不振,第1季度股市成交额减少了47.4％,第2季度减少了59.8％,导致财富缩水效应非常明显,以至于台湾股市有“水饺股”
