Objective To investigate the effect of multidisciplinary collaboration (MDT) on the quality of life of hearing-impaired senile deaf women. Methods A total of 53 elderly patients with senile deafness were randomly divided into intervention group (n = 28) and control group (n = 25). The intervention group consisted of MDTs composed of otolaryngologists, test technicians, rehabilitation assistants, specialist nurses, community nurses and counselors The team and the control group adopted the routine health education in the community. After 1 month, the relative knowledge of two groups were compared, the compliance of hearing aid was worn, and the quality of life of two groups was compared after 3 months. Results After 1 month, the mastery rate of relevant knowledge and compliance of hearing aid were higher in the intervention group than in the control group (P <0.05). After 3 months, the quality of life improvement was also significantly better than the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Pathway intervention in MDT mode can improve the mastery rate of senile deafness patients, adherence of hearing aid and quality of life.
