为了研究用免疫方法预防疟疾而取得抗原,必须大量培养繁殖疟原虫。目前国内外关于疟原虫的人工离体培养尚未成功,在培养过程中发育各阶段的形态变化规律也缺乏系统的完整资料。为了掌握这些规律以利进行人工培养,我们对疟原虫的发育各阶段的形态变化做了比较详细的观察。当前国内研究疟原虫的动物实验所用虫种有猴疟原虫、鼠疟原虫和鸡疟原虫,这三种虽媒介不同,但其在蚊体的发育规律基本相似,而其中以鸡疟的实验条件最为简便易行。因此我们对鸡疟原虫在伊蚊体内寄生阶段进行了以下实验观察。
