广州市海珠区现有中学36所,小学98所,在职教职员工约7000人,学生约13万人。由于区域广大,经济发展不平衡,师资和教学的设备设施相对显得紧缺。然而,正是这种紧缺,激发了海珠区教育工作者急起直追,争取后来居上的决心。全区人民正在奋力创建教育强区。目前,海珠区教育局在区党委、区政府的领导下,以“三个代表”重要思想为指导,以创建等级学校为突破口,以教育科研为先导,以教育改革为动力,以改善办学条件为基础,以全面提高教育质量和办学效益为中心,认真抓好综合改造工程、信息化工程、课程改革工程、教育科研工程、教师培训工程和等级学校建设工程。各学校都在因校制宜地推行特色教育,一步一个脚印地朝着教育强区的目标奋进。———编者 There are 36 secondary schools and 98 primary schools in Haizhu District, Guangzhou. There are about 7,000 teaching staff and about 130,000 students. Due to the vastness of the region and unbalanced economic development, teachers and teaching facilities are relatively scarce. However, it is precisely this shortage that has inspired Haizhu District educators to rush to catch up and strive to get behind. The people in the district are struggling to create a strong education zone. At present, Haizhu District Education Bureau is under the leadership of district party committees and district governments, under the guidance of the important thinking of the “three represents,” with the establishment of a grade school as a breakthrough, education and scientific research as a guide, and education reform as a driving force to improve the conditions for running a school. Based on the overall improvement of the quality of education and the benefits of running a school, we will focus on comprehensive renovation projects, informatization projects, curriculum reform projects, education and scientific research projects, teacher training projects, and grade school construction projects.
