【Abstract】Objective： To investigate the efficacy and safety of triamcinolone acetonide ointment in the treatment of hyperemic erosive oral lichen planus （EOLP）. Methods： A total of 86 patients with erosive oral lichen planus （EOLP） were enrolled in our hospital from Feb 2018 to Dec 2018. They were divided into two groups according to different treatment options. In the control group， 45 patients were treated with hydroxychloroquine sulfate and soda water. In the experimental group， 41 patients were treated with triamcinolone acetonide ointment， and the therapeutic effects and safety of the two groups were observed. Results： After 4 weeks of treatment， both groups had better VAS scores and treatment efficiency than before treatment. Both groups achieved good results， but the VAS scores of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group， and the total effective rate was higher than that of the control group （P
