LDH C4是避孕疫苗研制中最有特征性的精子特异性抗原之一。LDH C基因在生精细胞激活而在体细胞受抑制 ,存在LDH C启动子、多种转录因子、CpG岛甲基化等多种因素在转录水平上发挥基因调节作用。针对LDH C4的高水平抗体能有效阻断受精 ,而天然LDH C4经过化学修饰后显示高度免疫原性 ,能诱导同种异体免疫性不孕。另外在男性避孕疫苗和合成的抗原肽取代天然同工酶的研制中也取得了进展
LDH C4 is one of the most characteristic sperm-specific antigens in the development of contraception vaccines. LDH C gene is activated in spermatogenic cells and is inhibited in somatic cells. There are a variety of factors such as LDH C promoter, multiple transcription factors and CpG island methylation play a gene regulatory role at the transcriptional level. High levels of antibodies against LDH C4 are effective in blocking fertilization, whereas natural LDH C4 is chemically highly immunogenic and chemically induced to induce allogeneic immune infertility. In addition, progress has also been made in the development of the replacement of the natural isozymes by male contraceptive vaccines and synthetic antigenic peptides
