In recent years, hot flashes have become one of the main factors plaguing the work and life of women with low estrogen levels for various reasons, seriously affecting their quality of life. The current internationally recognized hot flashes occur in the central thermoregulatory thermo-neutral zone narrowing, body temperature regulation system disorders. Previous studies mainly focused on the mechanisms that induce the hot flashes caused by the dysfunction of central thermoregulation after estrogen decrease, but less attention was paid to the changes of peripheral thermoregulatory modes of efferent pathways after central integration. We review the mechanisms of peripheral thermoregulation from the hypothalamus to the hypothalamus from three basic ways of thermoregulation: sympathetic nervous system regulation, somatic nervous system regulation, and regulation of adrenal hormones and thyroid hormone secretion.
