东非一些年青碳酸岩中的Sr和Nd同位素比值在∈_sr-∈_nd图上表现出极好的负相关性.一个含有大陆地壳的简单混合模式经过测试,发现它与同位素模式不相符合.文中提出了两种幔源的混合作用,相对于地球总体(bulk earth)来说,其中一种幔源的的大离子亲石元素贫化,另一种幔源的大离子亲石元素较为富集.坦桑尼亚地盾下面所存在的贫化幔源与在加拿大碳酸岩中发现的现象一致.
The ratios of Sr and Nd isotopes in some young East African carbonates show excellent negative correlations on the ∈_sr-∈_nd plot.A simple mixed model with a continental crust was tested and found to be incompatible with the isotopic pattern The mixing effect of two mantle sources is proposed. Compared with the bulk earth, one of the mantle-derived large ion lithophile elements is depleted and the other mantle-derived large ion lithophile element is enriched The presence of depleted mantle beneath the shield of Tanzania is consistent with what was found in Canadian carbonates.
