卫生事业是社会事业的重要组成部分,为人民群众提供基本医疗卫生服务,事关人民群众的健康和生命安全,影响人民群众服务社会的能力和生活质量,关系到经济发展和社会稳定。卫生事业是党和政府联系人民群众的桥梁和纽带,人民群众往往通过卫生事业看党和政府对群众利益的关心程度,看经济发展的成果,看社会是否和谐公平。切实加快卫生事业的发展,与构建社会主义和谐社会密切相关。
Health care is an important part of social undertakings. It provides basic medical and health services for the people, concerns the health and life safety of the people, affects the people’s ability to serve the society and the quality of life, and relates to economic development and social stability.
