改革开放30年来,在自治区党委、政府的领导下,宁夏全区宣传文化战线按照“小省区要办大文化”的思路,贯彻“内聚人心、外树形象”的原则,扎实推进各项工作,在大力繁荣文化事业的同时,按照社会主义市场经济的要求,积极探索培育文化产业的发展,使全区文化事业和文化产业得到了突飞猛进的发展。如今,宁夏的文化基础设施逐步完善;艺术创作取得了前所未有的成绩,文物保护工作积极推进;群众文化活动日益丰富多彩;回族文化特色日益彰显,推动宁夏文化大发展、大繁荣的新格局初步形成。
