During the interview, Sun Yanbin, manager of Intel’s technology promotion, said that domestic enterprises may not agree with Intel’s calculation of total cost of ownership, at the same time, they think that the labor cost of domestic employees is much lower than that of foreign companies like Intel. Actually, this is not the case because many domestic enterprises, especially large state-owned enterprises, often bear the costs of medical treatment, insurance and subsidies for workers, and some may even have their own housing. The total cost of ownership is not much lower than Intel. Moreover, due to the management environment is not standardized, it is more likely to have many hidden costs. For example, technical support for large domestic enterprises often solves technical problems on site, travel expenses for technical support staff, and delayed working hours, all of which are factors that increase the total cost of ownership.
