In analytical chemistry teaching and documentation, names and symbols based on the SI system of units have been adopted. However, most existing analytical chemistry textbooks mostly invoke the traditional concept of “equivalence”, resulting in problems that are not coordinated with SI units. In this regard IUPAC Analytical Chemistry Group has made recommendations, it seems that we should pay attention to and pilot adoption. After SI introduces the basic unit of molar quantity of this substance, the traditional unit of “equivalent gram” should be used together with “mole”, “gram atom” and “gram ion”. Taking into account the simplistic calculation of customary equivalent concepts in analytical work, IUPAC recommends how to use equivalent concept
