The prototype European star propellant tank was tested in 1987. Since it was also designed for other tasks at the time, a tank of intermediate length of 3.181 inches to a length of 6.97 inches shorter than the basic design was identified in a manner similar to the basic design. In this way, the same basic design of the propellant tank using the same propellant management device can vary in volume from 77.7% to 110.1% of the basic design capacity. Lockheed made 16 tanks of 77.7% of their capacity, which were identified in a similar way plus the sinusoidal vibration of the flying prototype. It is designed according to the contract of European star storage tank. The 16 tanks have been successfully used on four synchronous orbit communications satellites manufactured by British Aerospace. In 1989, according to the needs of practical applications, the capacity of the storage tank was required to increase to 114.5% of the basic capacity, and the propellant management device was able to maintain the capacity to double the original flow rate. As a result, the European Star 2000 tank design was introduced. It made some minor improvements to the original tank design. At the end of 1991 Eurocarps 2000 was produced as fast as possible, presenting a larger tank capacity requirement. As a result, a prototype tank for appraisal was manufactured as planned, and various tests were started in early 1992. The recent request for capacity of the European Star 2000 tank is 104% of that of the prototype European Star 2000 tank, a so-called growth tank intended to be used in a manner similar to the European Star 2000 tank plus a flying prototype sinusoidal Vibration test identification.
