为降低严重威胁小儿生命的急性呼吸衰竭的病死卒,20多年来我们从基础到临床进行了系统的研究.利用国外先进技术,并结合我国情况写出研究论文及著述13篇.为弄清患儿呼吸衰竭死亡的机理,对105例婴幼儿肺炎的通气功能和血气改变进行了研究,比较朗确地提出了血气紊乱影响呼吸中枢的恶性循环的观点,为小儿急性呼吸衰竭的理论增加了新内容,对临床诊断和治疗都有指导意义.该研究还对143例新生儿和724例1月到24岁正常人进行了血气测定,提供了为国际接受的正常小儿血气标准,在PO_2方面填补了世界文献的空白。此项研究丰富了对小儿生长发育的认识,为临床医师提供了判断血气和酸硷平衡异常的基础。
