Fifty-year-old intellectuals who graduated from universities in the 1950s have passed most of the present. However, due to their origins and social relations, the life path has been rather bumpy and even devastated. Many of them went to the frontier, to the countryside, to the grassroots, where they bore their weight and worked hard with obscurity. One thousand is two or three decades. Some of them have stayed in the big cities in the same period, and some of them have promoted associate professors and professors, some became researchers, chief editors and university presidents, and their treatment has been gradually improved. But what about going to the frontier? Their wages are generally low. Some are inferior to the salaries of executives or workers of the same age. Some college students in the early 1950s received the same salary as those who graduated in the late 1950s or early 1960s. This phenomenon is probably not individual in the country.
