Mercury is a non-hydrocarbon gaseous component commonly found in natural gas and varies widely in content. Previous studies suggest that the mercury content in natural gas is mainly affected by the source rock type, the mercury content in coal type gas is relatively high, and the mercury content in oil type gas is relatively low, so it is regarded as a geochemical type of natural gas type index. However, mercury content (14.4-1930μg / m3) in the Liaohe depression, parts of the eastern sag and western sag is obviously higher than that of coal gas in the eastern sag (25.2-52.5μg / m3), and its natural gas ratio Natural gas from the stable craton basin in our country should be exceptionally enriched in mercury. The results of this study indicate that the mercury content in natural gas (especially oil-gas) is obviously influenced by the tectonic setting and deep geological processes in the basin and has no obvious correlation with the parent rock types. The mercury content in natural gas is proportional to the 3He / 4He There is a clear positive correlation between the ratios, indicating that part of the mercury in natural gas may be related to the deep earth’s volatiles or to the deep geological processes.
