Huoxiang Zhengqi Water is a proprietary Chinese medicine contained in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia (Edition 85). Due to the large irritation and poor taste during oral administration, many patients, especially children and women, are difficult to accept, which limits the clinical application of the preparation. After prescription analysis and clinical verification, it is known that its irritant mainly comes from high alcohol content (50%) and drug odor such as musk oil and basil oil.
