In the early spring of Beijing, the weather turned cold again after suddenly getting warm. President Qian Weidong said: in recent three years, the country put in more than 40 million yuan, which improved the conditions of the school to a great extent. They built many modern training bases for different purposes, such as training base for finance, costume, tourism and international business in order to provide the most advanced equipment for youths in high-tech training. Now, the school has 5 specialty groups and 17 sections. Among those majors, computer networking technology section is a demonstrating model in Beijing; the finance section is one of the backbones; tourism service and management, clothing display and protocol and international business sections are famous in Beijing. In President Qian Weidong’s view, in order to solve the youth employment effectively and realize sustainable development, we must study carefully the types of youth unemployment and the causes, and then solve the problems, so as to realize youth empowerment and urban ecological safety.
在钱卫东校长看来,要想真正有效解决青年就业,实现可持续发展,还必须认真研究青年失业的种类及其产生的原因,并加以应对和解决,这样才能实现青年赋权和城市生态安全。
Through President Qian Weidong and other faculty’s research and analysis, they find that there are five main kinds of causes of youth unemployment. First, structural unemployment caused by the inconsistence between the economic structure and labor structure. The primary cause is that the design of education and training programs lacks predictability, which just meets the needs of youth employment temporarily. In face of industry upgrading, economic structure adjustment and new technology, they can’t apply their skills to work, which eventually leads to youth’s structural unemployment. Second, the frictional unemployment caused by the normal flow of workforce and new workforce. The fundamental reason for frictional unemployment is the lack of information. Third, technological unemployment caused by the old fashioned mode, training skills and hardware facilities of education and training. When students graduate, they become unemployed. Fourth, conceptual unemployment caused by single design of education and training, which focuses on the current technical training and lacks the comprehensive quality education. Fifth, regional unemployment caused by the asymmetry in geographical distribution between workers and posts due to the lack of systematic communication between regional educational trainings.
通过钱卫东校长等教职人员的调研与认真分析发现,造成青年失业的原因主要有五大类。第一,经济结构与劳动力结构不一致所引起的结构性失业。根本原因是教育培训的项目设计还缺乏可预见性,仅仅满足青年一时就业的需求,当产业升级换代、经济结构调整、新技术应用于生产等因素发生时,学到的技能不适应工作而失业,最终形成了部分青年的结构性技能失业。第二,由于劳动力正常流动及新加入劳动力寻找工作而引起的摩擦性失业,造成摩擦性失业的根本原因是信息不畅。第三,教育培训方式陈旧、培训人员技能落伍、培训硬件设施落后形成青年技术性失业,学生毕业即失业。第四,教育培训内容设计单一,仅仅着重眼前技能性培训,缺乏对青年综合素质教育,形成青年观念性失业。第五,区域教育培训之间缺乏系统的沟通,形成了劳动者地域分布与岗位地域分布不对称而造成地域性失业。 Find correct ways to solve problems

In President Qian Weidong’s view, in order to solve the youth employment effectively and realize sustainable development, we must study carefully the types of youth unemployment and the causes, and then solve the problems, so as to realize youth empowerment and urban ecological safety.
在钱卫东校长看来,要想真正有效解决青年就业,实现可持续发展,还必须认真研究青年失业的种类及其产生的原因,并加以应对和解决,这样才能实现青年赋权和城市生态安全。
Through President Qian Weidong and other faculty’s research and analysis, they find that there are five main kinds of causes of youth unemployment. First, structural unemployment caused by the inconsistence between the economic structure and labor structure. The primary cause is that the design of education and training programs lacks predictability, which just meets the needs of youth employment temporarily. In face of industry upgrading, economic structure adjustment and new technology, they can’t apply their skills to work, which eventually leads to youth’s structural unemployment. Second, the frictional unemployment caused by the normal flow of workforce and new workforce. The fundamental reason for frictional unemployment is the lack of information. Third, technological unemployment caused by the old fashioned mode, training skills and hardware facilities of education and training. When students graduate, they become unemployed. Fourth, conceptual unemployment caused by single design of education and training, which focuses on the current technical training and lacks the comprehensive quality education. Fifth, regional unemployment caused by the asymmetry in geographical distribution between workers and posts due to the lack of systematic communication between regional educational trainings.
